DESCRIPTION: RELEASING EXCESS TENSION FOR STRENGTH, MOBILITY AND MOVEMENT Are you feeling stiff? Recent research into fascia has shown that it plays a crucial role in the body’s structural integrity, proprioception, and overall movement. We will be using a variety of movements to impact the body’s connective tissue by releasing tension, hydrating, stimulating, and rejuvenating connective tissue through standing, seated + floor postures providing you with an increase in mobility, less discomfort, increased strength and self-care through stillness and receptivity. A variety of variations or explorations will be provided for students to honor their unique bodies and abilities. Floor based class. Students will need to bring a yoga mat. If students have yoga blocks and strap- they may be useful for some poses.
