Why not learn to play Pickleball.  This 2 day class introduces students to the sport of Pickleball. Using game-based learning, students learn how to play, score, and work on the strokes of dinking, serve/return or serve, volley, and 3rd shot drop (offering an introduction to this shot). The second class will focus on practicing the common strokes of dinking, serve/return of serve, and volley.  This allows the player to gain experience with actual play time and "coaching" during play allowing students to gain confidence in playing the game.Instructor:  Joan MajorMIDDLE SCHOOL INTRO TO PICKLEBALLThe Beginners Intro Class will cover the basics of the game, including court layout, rules, techniques, and strategy.  Each week will focus on a different part of the game such as, dinking, serving, returning, drop shots, positioning, etc., all through fun drills and games.  Eventually we will reach the point of full game play with sideline coaching.  The running around will not only help improve their cardiovascular fitness, ,bit it will also help themm improve their hand-eye coordination, and build strength and agility.  Our hope is to give each child and overall introduction of the sport so they can then find and connect with fellow players in the community.Instructor:  Becka Davis:Becka is a current Bow resident and began playing pickleball 3 years ago through the Bow Parks & Rec program.  She competes in tournaments throughout the year at the 4.0 level and has had her PPR Certification for 1.5 years.  She has been teaching Intro and Drills classes in Concord, NH to players of all ages.If you have questions or need assistance, call the Bow Parks & Rec office.  603-223-3920
